movement. Carefully positioned light, medium, and dark hardwood sections
form the visible faces of each cube.

As the board is viewed from different angles, the pattern appears to shift
in direction and dimension. This effect is created entirely through
hardwood selection, grain orientation, and precise assembly rather than
stains, printing, or surface decoration.

Defined By a Wenge Border

A dark Wenge border surrounds the geometric center and provides a strong
visual frame for the repeating cube pattern. Its deep brown color creates
a clean boundary between the detailed interior design and the outer edge
of the board.

The border adds weight and definition to the composition while giving the
finished board a more substantial and architectural appearance.

Premium Hardwood Construction

Tigerwood, Maple, and Wenge were selected for their natural contrast,
durability, and individual grain characteristics. Together, the three
woods create the light, medium, and dark tones needed to produce the
dimensional cube pattern.

Why End Grain Matters

End grain construction positions the ends of the wood fibers at the
cutting surface. This allows the fibers to separate slightly beneath a
knife edge and then return toward their original position, helping reduce
visible cutting marks while remaining gentler on quality knives.

Built For Use or Display

Although the full-surface cube pattern gives this board the appearance of
a decorative art piece, it is constructed as a fully functional cutting
board. Its approximately 19.5-inch length provides ample working space for

Non-slip rubber feet help keep the board stable during use while elevating
it slightly above the countertop to improve airflow beneath the hardwood.

Custom Options Available

Because this board is made by custom order, its final dimensions, wood
selection, border width, and optional features may be adjusted to suit the
customer’s preferences and the availability of suitable hardwood.

Optional features may include a juice groove, finger grooves, alternative

assembled, flattened, sanded, conditioned, and inspected by hand. Creating
a full-surface cube pattern requires precise cutting and alignment so the
geometry remains consistent across the entire board.

No two boards will be identical. Variations in grain, figure, color, and
block placement are natural characteristics of genuine hardwood and are
part of what makes every custom board one of a kind.

Care Notes

Hand wash only using mild soap and warm water, then dry promptly. Do not
place the board in a dishwasher, leave it submerged in water, or expose it
to extreme heat.

Periodically apply a food-safe butcher block conditioner to nourish the
hardwood, preserve its natural color, and help protect it from drying
during regular use.
