3D Chevron Center Design

The centerpiece of this board is a repeating 3D chevron pattern created
from Tigerwood, Wenge, and Hard Maple. The contrasting natural colors
and carefully arranged geometry create the appearance of depth and
movement running through the center of the board.

Rather than using stain or artificial coloring to create the visual
effect, each tone comes directly from the natural hardwood itself.
The relationship between the light Maple, warm Tigerwood, and deep
Wenge gives the chevron pattern its dimensional character.

Built Around The Center Pattern

The surrounding design was built to support the central chevron rather
than compete with it. Tigerwood, Maple, and Padauk introduce additional
grain, color, and repetition while the darker surrounding end grain
gives the center pattern a strong visual foundation.

A narrow Honduran Rosewood border frames the entire composition,
providing a deep natural color around the outside edge and helping
visually contain the movement of the center design.

Premium Hardwood Construction

This board combines several hardwood species selected for their natural
color, grain character, contrast, and ability to contribute to the
finished design.

  Warm golden-brown color with bold natural figure and movement
• Wenge:
  Deep brown to nearly black color that creates strong dimensional contrast
• Hard Maple:
  Light natural color that provides brightness and definition within the pattern
• Padauk:
  Rich reddish tones that add warmth and visual variation
• Honduran Rosewood:
  Dense, richly colored hardwood used as the thin outer frame of the design

No stains or artificial coloring are used to create the pattern.

End grain construction positions the ends of the wood fibers at the
cutting surface. This allows the fibers to receive knife impact more
naturally, helping reduce visible wear while providing a durable surface

Handcrafted One Board At A Time

Every component of this board was individually cut, arranged, assembled,
flattened, sanded, conditioned, and inspected by hand.

The center chevron geometry, surrounding end grain layout, and narrow
Honduran Rosewood border were brought together so that each part retains
its own character while contributing to the larger finished design.

Care Notes

Hand wash only with mild soap and water, then dry promptly. Do not place
in a dishwasher, leave submerged in water, or expose the board to
prolonged extreme heat.

Periodic conditioning with a food-safe butcher block conditioner will
help preserve the hardwood, deepen its natural colors, and support
long-term performance.
